Chairman, Jim Ditchfield, established
Desertoak Ltd in September 1986;
his aim was to create a Company
to provide Cost Effective, Fast
Track, Quality Refurbishments, with
the minimum of disruption to both
the Client and their Business.
Over the years, Desertoak Ltd
has enjoyed a pattern of steady
growth, gradually expanding its
Client base and benefiting from
the experience gained from a wide
variety of Client types. From inception
to completion, each contract is
carefully planned and individually
tailored to suit the Client's specific
requirements.
Barry Downey, Director, joined
Desertoak in 1992; Barry holds vast
operational and managerial experience,
gained throughout his progression
within the company. This combined
with the supporting role of the
Associate Director, Stephen Dear,
and the professional skills of key
staff, forms the solid core that
Desertoak's Clients' have come to
rely upon.
The strategically sited office
in the Midlands is within easy access
of all main routes, conveniently
located for Desertoak's nationwide
Client's.
A solid programme of investment
has ensured that Desertoak is constantly
abreast of technological changes,
continually enhancing the comprehensive
service offered. Technology and
experience are key factors in the
company's ability to carry out a
variety of contracts, from small
cosmetic alterations to large structural
building projects.
Over the past 25-years, we have
become a very diverse company working
with a wealth of specialist Sub-Contractors',
giving us the ability to work competitively
in many different fields of work,
from retail to Historic Restoration.
The company has taken great care
and pride in the safety of its own
Staff, Clients' and General Public.
Desertoak encompasses all Health
and Safety requirements and each
contract is managed with strict
adherence to this legislation. All
our site operatives have successfully
completed various training courses
which are detailed on our Training
Page.
To annually assess and update
our own ongoing safety performance,
we have achieved SAFEcontractor
Accreditation for 9 consecutive
years.
Our goal is to complete projects
on time, to the highest standards
possible, whilst maintaining a safe
working environment throughout the
project.

and strong managerial involvement
has culminated in a workforce that
is committed, efficient and meticulous
